Who these terms are for
These terms apply to every booking with Burudani Adventure Park: day passes booked online, group and company bookings, school trips and church groups. By paying for a booking, or by sending a signed LPO, you agree to them for everyone in your booking.
Online bookings for families and friends
- Day passes booked on our website are paid in full when you book. Your booking is confirmed when the payment goes through, and we email you a confirmation and e-ticket.
- Online prices include 16% VAT and are for personal visits by individuals, families and friends, up to 9 people per booking.
- Coupon codes are applied before you pay. They can’t be combined or exchanged for cash.
Group bookings: how your date is confirmed
- Build your day in our planner. When you send it, it is an enquiry: your date is not reserved until the deposit is paid. We email you the payment details and a reminder if the deposit is still unpaid.
- Most groups pay online by M-Pesa or card in a minute, and the booking is confirmed straight away. If you can’t pay online, use bank transfer or Paybill below, or call us and we’ll help.
- You can pay the deposit online by M-Pesa or card, by bank transfer to Equity Bank, Kawangware branch, account name Burudani Adventure Park, account number 0630284036488, or by M-Pesa Paybill 247247, account 707820. Use your booking reference so we can match the payment. Bank and Paybill payments are confirmed as soon as they reach us.
- The deposit is non-refundable. It secures your date and lets us prepare staff, instructors and food for your group. We only prepare buffet food for confirmed bookings.
Families, friends and couples booking as a group
- Pay a 15% deposit online to confirm your date. It is a part payment.
- The balance must be paid before your visit day: online with the link in your confirmation email, or by bank transfer or Paybill. We can’t take the balance on arrival.
- You can change your number of guests up to the day before your visit.
- Prices include 16% VAT.
Companies, schools, churches and other organisations
- Pay a 50% deposit to confirm your date: online, by bank transfer or by Paybill.
- Add guests any time up to the day before your visit. You can reduce your numbers until 7 days before your visit; after that we charge for the number booked, even if fewer guests come.
- The balance is paid on arrival, before activities and meals start, or online before you come with the link in your confirmation email.
- More guests on the day are welcome if we have space, at the same prices.
- Company and organisation visits are quoted plus 16% VAT and invoiced with your KRA PIN. Schools and churches have their own group rates, which include VAT; if you need a VAT invoice, we add 16%. If an organisation’s visit is booked at family prices, we will invoice the difference.
Changing your group booking
- Every email we send has a Manage your booking link. Use it to see your payments, pay online, change your number of guests or ask for a new date.
- When you change your number of guests, the price updates for the new number. Once your booking is confirmed, reducing by more than a quarter of the number you confirmed is charged as 75% of that number. For example, a group confirmed for 100 that drops to 40 pays for 75.
- Companies, schools, churches and organisations can reduce numbers until 7 days before the visit. Families, friends and couples can change numbers up to the day before.
- Ask for a new date from your booking page and we will confirm if it is available. Requests made more than 14 days before your visit are free, once, to a date within 3 months.
- If your package has buffets or group rates with a minimum number (for example, buffets are for 10 or more), call us to change the package if your numbers drop below it.
Paying by LPO
- Organisations can send a signed LPO and a signed copy of our quotation at least 7 days before the visit, in place of the deposit. The full amount is due within 30 days of our invoice.
- If an LPO booking is cancelled less than 2 weeks before the visit, 50% of the quoted amount is payable.
Changing or cancelling
- Day passes: move your booking for free up to 48 hours before your visit. Within 48 hours, a change costs KES 200 per person. Bookings can’t be refunded, and a booking you don’t use (a no-show) is not refunded.
- Feeling unwell? Call or WhatsApp us on 0115 707 820 at least 3 hours before your visit and we’ll move your booking for free.
- Groups: cancel more than 14 days before your visit and you can move your deposit once to a new date. Cancel 14 days or less before, and the deposit is not refunded.
- A moved booking or deposit must be used within 3 months of the original date.
- Paid activities can’t be swapped for other activities or exchanged for cash.
Weather and safety
- Activities carry on in light rain. We pause the high activities during thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong wind, and restart when it is safe.
- If we have to cancel your booking, or the weather stops activities you paid for, you can choose a new date within 3 months or a refund for what you couldn’t do.
- Our instructors have the final say on safety, including weather, weight, equipment fit, health, clothing and behaviour.
Who can take part
- Harness activities (high ropes, ziplining, sky cycling, giant swing, crate tower): age 7 and up, at least 1 metre tall, and a weight between 25 kg and 120 kg. We may weigh guests on arrival.
- Archery from age 7, and paintball target shooting from age 10.
- Children under 7 are welcome in the park with an adult and can enjoy the lawn games and guided walks. Entry is free.
- If a guest doesn’t meet these limits on the day, we’ll offer another activity where we can. We don’t refund for this, so please check before you book.
- Please check with us before booking if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, have had recent surgery, or have back, neck or shoulder problems, epilepsy or fainting spells.
- Nobody can do the activities after drinking alcohol or taking drugs. Guests who have been drinking will be turned away from the activities, with no refund.
Children and supervision
- Children must be with a parent or guardian aged 18 or over: 1 adult for every 4 children aged 7 to 12, who stays with them at each activity, and 1 adult for every 8 children aged 13 to 17.
- School groups bring the same ratio of teachers or adults. Our instructors run each activity; teachers stay with their pupils between activities.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for their children’s behaviour in the park.
On the day
- Arrive 30 minutes before your first activity to check in, get fitted and have your safety briefing.
- Every guest signs our waiver before taking part, and parents or guardians sign for children under 18. School groups use one school trip form.
- Wear sports clothes: trousers or knee-length shorts, and closed, flat shoes that fasten. No sandals, flip-flops or loose slip-ons on the activities. Empty your pockets before you go up.
- Each activity can be done once per person.
- We look after your safety, but we are not responsible for lost or damaged belongings.
Food and drink
- Our restaurant and bar serve food and drinks all day. Buffet packages are for groups of 10 or more and need advance booking.
- Want to bring your own food? Call us first to arrange it. A charge applies.
- Bringing your own drinks? A corkage fee is charged per person. The bar serves guests aged 18 and over, and we may ask for ID.
Behaviour
- Follow our staff’s instructions and treat staff and other guests with respect.
- We may end a visit without a refund for unsafe, abusive or disruptive behaviour, and charge for damage to equipment.
Photos and your information
- We use your details only to manage your booking, payments, safety and check-in. Waiver forms are kept securely for 24 months, then deleted.
- We only share photos of guests who agree to it on the waiver. To see or delete your information, email bookings@burudaniadventurepark.co.ke.
